Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gaillimh le Gaeilge has announced its 12 finalists for the Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh.
Mayor of Galway, Noel Larkin announced the shortlist at an event at the Eyre Square Centre today. (11/4)
The gradam is Galway's own bilingual business award which recognises companies and organisations in the city that use Irish in their day to day business.
In the retail category, the finalists are Eyre Square Centre, Mary's Fish, Sweeney Oil and Thomas Woodberrys.
The tourism & hospitality finalists are the Clayton Hotel Ballybrit and the Connacht Hotel, Renmore.
In the services category, the finalists are Cross Street Dental and Lorg Media.
In the 'other companies' category, Carey Developments, Kennys Bookshop, Micil Poitín and PorterShed are all finalists.
The moltóirí Ghradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh will visit all the shortlisted premises in the coming weeks and Gaeltacht Minister Seán Kyne will announce the winners at a ceremony in the Salthill Hotel on May 15th.
