Galway Bay fm newsroom - One man is to appear in court this morning following a weekend Garda operation which involved three house searches in Galway.
It was part of a wider investigation in relation to eight burglaries at businesses in the Limerick and Tipperary area ealier this month.
The man, aged in his 20s, will appear before Limerick District Court this morning.
As part of the operation, three houses were searched in county Galway and two men in their 20s were arrested.
They were brought to Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda stations where they were detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
During the search operation, two vehicles were also seized for technical examination.
One man has since been charged and will appear before Limerick District Court this morning.
The second man was released without charge last night and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
