Galway Bay fm newsroom - A young man who entered the water in the city in the early hours of today is recovering in hospital.
The alarm was raised just after 3a.m when the 20 year old was seen entering the water near Nun's Island.
Gardaí, the fire brigade, ambulance crews and the RNLI attended the scene.
The man was rescued and taken to University Hospital Galway, but it's not believed he was in a serious condition.
