Man due in court in connection with alleged city stabbing

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A 25 year old man charged in connection with an alleged stabbing incident in the city this week is due to appear in court later.

The man, with a city address, will appear before Castlerea Court at 11.30 this morning charged with assault causing harm.

Three men were hospitalised following the alleged stabbing which took place in the Francis Street area in the early hours of Wednesday.

One of the men remains at UHG where his condition is described as stable.

Three men were arrested on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

Two of these men were released without charge with files to be prepared for the DPP.
