Galway Bay fm newsroom - Water users in parts of the city and county are experiencing water disruption due to bursts and new infrastructure works.
A large number of water users in Ballinasloe town will experience water disruption overnight tonight while homes and businesses in Barna are without water today. (27/8)
The county council and Irish Water say the disruption in Ballinasloe town is as a result of work to install a new watermain at St. Michael's Square.
The disruption will happen from 8 o' clock this evening and 7 tomorrow morning. (Tue)
Elsewhere, homes and businesses in Barna are without a water supply today.
It's due to a burst watermain and the areas mainly affected are Truskey East and West and Aille.
A leak detection crew are due on site an a contractor is on standby to carry out repairs.
Separately, traffic restrictions are in place at Monivea Road near Parkmore due to a burst water main.
The city council says there has been a burst near the junction of Parkmore Road and Monivea Road and delays are expected.
Crews hope to be able to open all lanes to traffic by this afternoon.
