Galway Bay fm newsroom - Homes and businesses in Tuam are without power this morning due to a major fault in the Milltown Road area of the town.
The fault occurred in the past half hour and is affecting about 15 hundred electricity customers in Tuam town and some surrounding areas.
A spokesperson for ESB Networks says crews are on site and hope to restore electricity supply by 2 o' clock this afternoon.
