Galway Bay fm newsroom - Householders and businesses on the outskirts of the eastern side of the city are experiencing water disruption today as a result of a major burst pipe.
The county council and Irish Water say that customers from the city boundary out to Corinithians Rugby Club at Cloonacauneen, Tuam Road are affected by the burst watermain.
The areas include Menlo, Carrowbrowne, Headford Road, Polkeen, Cloonacauneen, Two Mile Ditch and Kiloughter.
Motorists are being warned to approach the area with caution as a traffic management system is in place for the duration of the repair works.
