Galway Bay fm newsroom - A major event to mark 60 years of the European Union will take place in Ballinasloe tomorrow (21/3).
The event will feature talks and an audio visual presentation on the evolution of the European Union, and how Ireland has benefitted from being a member.
It comes as Rome gears up to host a major ceremony on Saturday to mark the 60th anniversary of the union.
The Ballinasloe event kicks off at the Europe Direct Centre, Fairgreen, Ballinasloe at 9.30 tomorrow morning.

German Political scientist and academic, Ingo Espenschied says those who attend will see how the European Union has evolved over the past 60 years.
