Councillor Curley says the system is too complicated and caused the recent confusion over repairs in Loughrea town

The councillor had criticised Electric Skyline for delays in repairs to a walkway and Corry's Field

The company had in fact repaired the lights at Corry's Field within 3 days of receiving the report, although the lights were out for weeks

Councillor Curley further explains that the walkway in question was not even under the charge of Electric Skyline,

Electric Skyline is responsible for over 100,000 public lights across Ireland

In a statement to Galway Bay fm it says it prides itself on its customer service and turnaround times.

It's urging people to report Local Authority Public Lighting Faults by calling Electric Skyline or log a fault on electricskyline.ie
