Local TD critical of lack of proper building control in construction sector

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway East TD Sean Canney says there is a serious lack of proper building control within our construction sector.

Deputy Canney, who is himself from a construction background, raised the issue of building regulations in the Dáil.

He argued local authorities are not resourced to carry out building controls in the way they should be - and the construction of homes and apartments has become too complicated.
