Galway Bay fm newsroom – Lectures are expected to resume for all GMIT students on the 28th of September.
That’s according to the college’s President Orla Flynn, who says students will receive a detailed communication about the planned reopening procedures in the next 10 days.
The plan to reopen all of the college’s campuses is being formulated by the Return to Campus Implementation Group, which has been meeting for the past few weeks.
A number of hybrid learning options are being considered, including remote working and allowing students back to campuses in smaller groups for labs and practical classes.
Meanwhile, grouping students into pods, that they will stay in for various classes to limit contacts, is also being considered according to the college’s President Orla Flynn.
