Galway Bay FM newsroom - Over 3,400 students across Galway will receive their Leaving Cert results this morning.
They will be issued online through the Candidate Self Service portal from 10AM.
This year’s grades are expected to be at least as high as last year’s record-breaking results, as post-marking adjustments have been made - bringing half of grades up by one.
It's leading to concerns over the high-level of points that will be needed for many courses - as well as the use of random selection for high-points courses.
Minister Foley is congratulating students on reaching the major milestone, saying it's an "enormous achievement."
