Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Labour Party leader is in Galway today for a series of engagements.
Alan Kelly's first port of call this morning is a meeting with journalists from the local NUJ branch to discuss the importance of local media.
He'll then follow up with a meeting with SIPTU and FORSA members of the Local employment Services.
Deputy Kelly will also attend a photo call in Eyre Square at 11am where he will meet with members of the Galway Volunteer Centre.
From there, he'll visit mental health charity Let's Get Talking.
In the afternoon the Labour leader will meet with the Irish Society for Colitis and Chron's disease, and education advocacy organisation Equal Ireland - as well as representatives from the Galway Hospitality Industry.
