Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Kilkerrin Moylough Water Treatment Plant has now been returned to full production.
It's after major disruptions left up to 1,500 people in both areas without a water supply since early yesterday morning.
Irish Water says it will take 10 to 12 hours for all areas to refill - and is asking people to conserve water once it returns to allow quick refill across the network.
It adds that chlorine levels may be higher than normal initially, but will return to normal within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a water tanker has been made available at Kilkerrin Community Centre until 6 o' clock this evening should residents need to fill containers.
