A Kilconnell woman is celebrating her 100th birthday today.
Mary Farrell was born in Cuddoo, Colemanstown, in 1925.
She married Edward Farrell from Kilconnell and lived there for 77 years, raising five boys and three girls.
Mary's known as a great community woman, who was involved for decades with various groups including the local GAA, Tidy Towns, and Muintir Na Tire.

She's also a staunch member of the Fianna Fail party, and previously met President Eamon DeValera.
Mary is celebrating her milestone birthday with a mass and party at Ballinderry Nursing home in Kilconnell this afternoon.
