Galway Bay fm newsroom - Irish Water is undertaking works this week to replace several hundred metres of watermains in the west-end of the city.

The project will see 325m of backyard service connections replaced at Munster Avenue.
Irish Water says these types of connections are a significant source of leakages, which are difficult to detect and repair.

It's expected the upgrade works will be completed by the end of November.
