Irish Water to begin consulting with landowners over Tuam Water Supply Scheme

Galway Bay fm newsroom - An Bord Pleanála has given approval to Irish Water to progress its Compulsory Purchase Orders for the development of Tuam Regional Water Supply Scheme.

It's part of the project to extend the scheme to Loughrea, which Irish Water is undertaking in conjunction with the county council.

Irish Water now has the authority to acquire land, permanent wayleave, permanent right of way and temporary working areas for the scheme.

It's expected that the scheme will improve water quality for about 6 thousand users in Loughrea.
