Irish Rail needs to "get its act together" after serious disruption to peak services to and from Galway yesterday.
That's according to Athenry/Oranmore Councillor Louis O' Hara, who says it's on top of already over-crowded services.
Two morning trains between Limerick and Galway were cancelled yesterday due to operational reasons, with bus transfers in place instead.
Meanwhile, there was reduced capacity on the 5.20pm Galway to Dublin service - meaning those without prebooked tickets, or travelling to Athenry, could not travel.
Sinn Fein Councillor O' Hara says we cannot expect people to use public transport when it's not reliable.
