Irish Rail denies reports that Galway services could cease

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Irish Rail is now dismissing reports that most of the network, including services to Galway, face being closed.

It had been claimed some intercity routes, such as Galway to Limerick, face the axe, unless there was a significant increase in investment.

The information was provided to the Irish Independent under a Freedom of Information request.

However Irish Rail's moved to reassure passengers that is not the case.
