Galway Bay fm newsroom - A trade dispute between the U.K and United States regarding aviation company Bombardier in Belfast could impact on a Connemara company.
EireComposites based in Inverin, has supplied advanced components to the Belfast plant since winning a contract worth more than 2 million euro in 2008.
According to today's Irish Independent, Bombardier relies heavily on supplies from company's south of the border such as EireComposites.
The aviation manufacturer employs more than 4 thousand people at its 5 factories in Belfast.
Apart from buying components from the Inverin company, Bombardier has also carried out technical programmes with NUI Galway.
Its high-tech C-series aircraft is at the centre of the trade standoff with the U.S after competitor Boeing made a complaint and the U.S imposed a preliminary duty on the aircraft.
