The HSE has highlighted a range of concerns over plans for a new "Galway Food Market" in the city centre.
It'd be located at the former Connacht Tribune Printing Press at Market Street - at the back of the Portershed a Dó tech building.
It's described as a "food lovers paradise" - and a space that people would want to visit often, if not everyday.
The artisanal indoor food hall and market has garnered the support of Fáilte Ireland, who've described it as a valuable and transformative project.
But in a submission to city planners, the HSE has raised a lengthy list of potential regulatory issues.
It says the size of the individual units would seem to limit the type of food businesses allowable, due to the lack of space for suitable equipment and segregated space.
They also weren't satisfied with the indicated plans for public toilets, as well as those for staff toilets and changing facilities.
The HSE also advised that an assessment of air and odour impact on nearby properties should be considered, given the volume of food businesses planned.
City planners are due to make a decision in the coming weeks.
