HSE Chief Operations Officer urges Galway public to continue playing part in fight against Covid

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Chief Operations Officer of the HSE says while there is light at the end of the tunnel due to the Covid-19 vaccine, it's vital that the Galway public continue to play their part over the next few weeks.

Anne O' Connor acknowledged that people will view the latest developments as quite negative as we head into the festive season.

It follows a recommendation from NPHET that pubs and restaurants be closed for New Years.

It's also advised that the number of households allowed to mix be reduced after Christmas.

Speaking to Keith Finnegan on Galway Talks, Anne O' Connor said while restrictions have been eased, we should still be making sensible decisions:
