Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien has hailed the Ceannt Station redevelopment, worth 70 million euro, as a significant investment in public transport for Galway city.
The renovation plans, which will see a new roof installed, along with additional platforms and a new entrance, are expected to be completed in 2026.
Minister O'Brien also visited the Docks, to view the LDA's plan to build over a thousand homes on site, while he was also briefed on development plans for the port.
Speaking at Ceannt Station, Minister O'Brien says the benefits of all of these projects will be seen by a wide range of people
