UHG has 18.1 month average hospital list waiting time

Galway Bay fm newsroom - UHG is among the hospitals with the longest waiting times for patients, with an 18.1-month weighted average.

Figures released by the Irish Patients’ Association for July show that patients in Letterkenny, Cork, Galway, Sligo, and Limerick, face the longest waits.

That's when it comes to consultant and surgery appointments, while those hospitals have also experienced emergency department overcrowding in the past year.

The IPA is calling for a special taskforce over what it calls "unacceptable" hospital waiting list times.
