Galway Bay fm newsroom - A HIQA inspection has found continued serious issues in the operation of a nursing home in Moycullen.
Issues have been identified over a number of inspections over the past year at An Teaghlach Uilinn.
Residents living in An Teaghlach Uilinn Nursing Home told inspectors that they felt safe living in the centre and that staff were kind and polite to them.
But the inspection found that overall, the centre was non-compliant with regulations in almost every area assessed.
They include staffing, health care, governance and management, staff training, records, and food and nutrition.
Inspectors noted the provider had failed to implement compliance plans following previous inspections of the centre.
They held that significant urgent action continues to be required with regard to the governance and management of the home.
Inspectors stated that a weak organisational structure, and ineffective management systems of monitoring and oversight, continued to impact on the quality and safety of care provided.
