Galway Bay fm newsroom - Summary judgment orders totalling more than 8 million euro are being sought against former Head of Business Banking at AIB in Eyre Square, his wife and a former Anglo Irish Bank executive director.
John Hughes had debts of between 85 million and 95 million euro in 2015, with most of the money due to NAMA or the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation.
According to today's Irish Times, the High Court heard that John Hughes had a range of residential and commercial investment properties and was an employee of NAMA and Samson Trust Limited.
A judgment against Mr. Hughes for 3.5 million euro is being sought by Promontoria (Aran) Limited, which bought loans from Ulster Bank in 2015.
It arises from loans linked to property in Barna, Oughterard and Clifden and Donnybrook in Dublin.
A second judgment for 1.6 million euro against John Hughes and his wife Margaret over debt linked to a residential property at Ailesbury Wood in Dublin 4, which has since been sold, is also being sought.
A third judgment is being sought against John Hughes and former Anglo Irish Bank executive director Tom Browne for 3.3 million euro.
This is linked to property at Lisobán in the city and the Quayside Shopping Centre in Sligo.
Justice Max Barrett has reserved judgment in the High Court.
