Hewlett Packard Enterprise to establish European hub for cyber security operations in Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Hewlett Packard Enterprise is to establish its European hub for cyber security operations at its Galway base.

It comes as the tech multinational is establishing a new Hybrid Cloud Practice to help Irish customers accelerate their digital transformation.

This will see 150 experienced technologists recruited at its bases in Galway and Kildare over the next two years.

The Ballybrit site already has the largest footprint of cyber professionals within HPE globally and is set to expand with new roles for data scientists and incident response practitioners.

The announcement comes as HPE will celebrate a fifty year legacy of operations in Ireland.

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar says the announcement demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to Galway and Kildare.
