Heavy snow causes water disruptions in Letterfrack

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Residents in the Letterfrack area are being advised to expect disruptions to their water supply as a result of issues caused by heavy snowfall.

Irish Water says repair works are currently being carried out to the water treatment plant, which suffered damage during recent adverse weather conditions.

Water has been diverted into the area from the Tully Water Treatment Plant.

However, residents in Letterfrack are being warned they may experience lower pressure and some outages while repair works are carried out.

Irish Water has appealed to customers to conserve water wherever possible until these works are completed.
