Headford teenager Kirsty Bohan to be laid to rest today

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The funeral of Kirsty Bohan will take place in Headford at midday today.

The 14-year-old was killed in an early morning Bank Holiday crash in Ballyfruit, just outside Headford.

Kirsty, a second-year student at Presentation College Headford, will be laid to rest in Donaghpatrick Cemetery, following her funeral mass in the Church of St Patrick and Cuana.

14-year-old Lukas Joyce of Corrandulla, who was also killed in the crash, will be laid to rest tomorrow.

The two other occupants of the car – a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl – are being treated for their injuries in hospital.
