Galway Bay fm newsroom - Motorists travelling on the Headford Road to or from the city this evening are advised to expect significant disruption as work continues to convert the Kirwan roundabout to a signalised junction.
Inbound traffic will be diverted via Tirellan Heights to the Dyke Road from 7pm until 7am tomorrow.
Heavy goods vehicles travelling along the N84 will be diverted at Ballindooley Cross.
Outgoing traffic will be diverted to the Tuam Road during the period.
Speaking to Keith Finnegan on Galway Talks, local Councillor Frank Fahy says it's anticipated that the road resurfacing works will be completed tonight but further delays are expected for the month of July.
