Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Cathaoirleach of Galway County Council has called on Noel Grealish to resign as TD for Galway West.
It's after Deputy Grealish apologised for a second time for his attendance at the Oireachtas Golf Society Event held in Clifden last Wednesday on Galway Bay fm yesterday morning.
However, County Cathaoirleach James Charity says Deputy Grealish's attempt to attribute blame to The Irish Hotels' Federation - who the Independent TD said approved the event - is unacceptable.
Cllr Charity also says Deputy Grealish has failed to apologise to the people of Galway for bringing the county - and Clifden in particular - into the national spotlight for such a scandal.
Speaking on Galway Talks, the Independent Cllr said if we're going to call for the resignation of Phil Hogan and Dara Calleary, how can the captain of the golf society retain his position as TD for Galway West.
