Galway Bay fm newsroom - City planners have greenlit the installation of a telecommunications structure at Salthill Knocknacarra GAA club.
The application for the structure at Árus Bothar na Trá, Doctor Mannix Road is led by Shared Access Limited.
The plan calls for the installation of an 18 metre multi-user free standing support structure carrying telecommunications equipment.
The development has caused some concern locally due to the height of the structure, but city planners have approved the development with 3 conditions attached.
One states that the developer shall allow other licensed telecommunications operators to co-locate their antennae on the mast subject to reasonable terms.
