Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information following a fatal weekend road collision in the Spiddal area, in which a motorcyclist was killed.
The collision between a motorbike and a car, took place on the R336 between Inverin and Spiddal on Saturday shortly after 8pm.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a man and woman, the occupants of the car, were taken to UHG as a precautionary measure.
The motorcyclist has been named locally as Conor Quinn, aged in his mid 30s, and who had been living in the Bothar Bui area in Inverin.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They have issued a special appeal to road users who were travelling on the R336, between Inverin and Spiddal from 7pm to 8.30pm with camera footage to make it available to Salthill Garda Station on 091 514 720.
