Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardai have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses after a man died following a crash on the Monivea Road near Carnmore yesterday.
The incident, which involved a waste truck and a car, happened between Carnmore Cross and Briarhill Junction at around lunchtime.
The man - who was aged in his 70's and understood to be a local man - was pronounced dead at the scene.
One line of enquiry being explored by Gardai is that the man may have fallen ill prior to the collision.
