Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí are investigating a serious act of vandalism at Rahoon cemetery in the city.

It's after a significant amount of ornaments - affecting up to 20 graves in Section X - were broken sometime between last evening and this morning.
The damage was discovered by cemetery staff shortly after 8am.

Galway City Council says it's working with Gardaí and anyone with information is asked to contact Salthill or Mill Street Garda stations.
Cemetery staff will also be on-hand until 3.30 this afternoon to assist those who may be affected.
