Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardai are investigating following an attack on Galway mosque.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Ireland has reported that the mosque located at the Old Monivea Road was vandalised overnight.
A considerable amount of criminal damage was caused to the premises during the incident.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association says windows and locks were broken at the place of worship by the perpetrators, while security camera recordings were also allegedly taken away.
The group says it's deeply saddened by the vandalism and attack.
The mosque was also targetted by vandals in July 2017.
In a statement to Galway Bay fm news, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association says the community is peaceful and law abiding.
It adds it is committed to promoting peace and rejects violence and terrorism in any shape or form anywhere in the world.
Gardai are investigating the incident.
No arrests have yet been made.
