Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision that occurred this morning on the M6 Westbound near Athenry.

The single vehicle collision occurred at around 5:10AM between Junction 17 Athenry and Junction 18 to the M17 and M18.

The road is closed and local diversions are in place around Derrydonnell.
