Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí are appealing for dashcam footage following a crash near Milltown which resulted in the death of a man overnight.
A man in his 30s was killed and another man injured in the crash involving a car and a van at Carrownurlaur around 1.15 this morning.
A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the van who is in his 50s, was taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar as a precaution.
A garda forensic collision examination of the scene is underway and the N17 between Milltown and Ballindine remains closed and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward or anyone who was travelling in the Milltown or Ballindine areas around 1 o' clock this morning who may have dashcam footage, to contact them.
