Gardai advise Galway motorists to exercise caution on roads

Galway Bay fm newsroom -Gardaí are advising motorists to be cautious this morning following several crashes around the county.

Sleet and snow overnight, which froze over caused treacherous road conditions this morning, particularly on local roads.

There are delays on the Curragh Line, Headford Road as cars were abandoned following several minor crashes overnight.

There is also a minor collision between two vehicles near Clonboo this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of two separate collisions near Tom Doyle Motors on the old Dublin Road just outside Loughrea.

Ambulances are in attendance although no-one has been seriously injured.

Gardaí are advising motorists to be cautious approaching the area.

Gardaí are also at the scene of a single vehicle collision at the junction of Ballyduggan and Kilrickle, on the Portumna side.

There are no reports of serious injury but motorists are advised to avoid the area until a tow truck comes to clear the scene.
