Gardai are investigating following an overnight stabbing incident in the city centre.
A man in his late teens was taken to UHG following the incident which took place at approximately 3.30am.
He is being treated for serious but non life threatening injuries.
A section of the road at Francis Street and Corrib Terrace was closed to facilitate Garda investigators but has since reopened.
Some local road closures remain in place at St. Anthony's Place.
