Garda investigation following fire at house in Carna area

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí are investigating following a fire at a house in the Carna area yesterday (Sun).

The blaze caused serious damage to the dwelling located in the townland of Letterard, four miles from Carna village.

A man, who is believed to have been the sole occupant of the house at the time, was taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment.

Gardai say they are keeping an open mind as to the cause of the fire and investigations are continuing.
