Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí have launched an investigation after three stowaways were located in the body of a vehicle at the Big Top grounds.
Gardaí at Mill Street attended Fisheries Field yesterday where it is was reported that a number of men were concealed in the body of a truck.
A search was conducted and three non-Irish males, believed to be from Sudan, were discovered.
The three men were detained under Section 130 of the Immigration Act and taken to Galway Garda Station.
The Garda National Immigration Bureau has been notified and the individuals are being processed.
All three men have been medically assessed and are in good health.
