Garda checkpoints in bid to tackle illegal dumping on N84

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Garda checkpoints are to be set up along the N84 Headford road in a bid to combat illegal dumping.

Anti-dumping barriers have already been erected at bog-roads off the N84 such as  Curraghmore as part of the drive.

Galway West Fine Gael TD Hildegarde Naughton says environmental cleanups are also planned as well as the roll-out of CCTV cameras.
