Garda appeal following suspicious fire at disused Corrib Great Southern Hotel

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardai have issued an appeal for information following a suspicious fire at the disused Corrib Great Southern Hotel in the city.

Fire crews were called to a blaze at the former hotel near GMIT just before 6 on Monday evening.

Four units remained at the scene for two hours.

It's understood the fire broke out in a single room on the fourth floor.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
