Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision at Briarhill junction, in which a motorcyclist was killed.

The incident took place at 7:30pm yesterday at the busy intersection on Bóthar na dTreabh in the east of the city.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash site remains closed for a technical examination by forensic collision investigators this morning.
Diversions are expected to remain in place until this afternoon.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward to Galway Garda Station on 091 538000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
