Galway’s local authorities urged to secure slice of new greenway and cycling infrastructure fund

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway city and county councils are being urged to secure their slice of new funding for greenways and cycling infrastructure.

The government announced €9m in this week’s budget to be split between cycling and greenway infrastructure projects across the country.

Green party city councillor Pauline O’Reilly has questioned the size of the national figure and is urging Galway’s local authories to secure funding before other councils get there first.
