Galway's rate is the 16th highest nationwide with 131 cases of the virus recorded over the last fortnight.

Donegal remains the county with the highest infection rate at 224.9 per 100 thousand in population.

Leitrim has the lowest rate of 15.6 with just five cases of the virus recorded in the fortnight.

The national average incidence rate stands at 80.7 with 3842 cases notified over the last 14 days.
