Latest figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show less than five cases of the virus were recorded last evening - with 281 cases notified in the county over the last fortnight.
Galway now has the fifith lowest 14 day incidence rate in the country with Leitrim recording the lowest at 37.4.

Donegal currently has the highest incidence rate of 284.6, followed by Limerick at 209.3.
The national average stands at 151.5 - estimated to be half of its peak on October 25th.
Dr Ray Walley is the Irish Medical Organisation's GP advisor to the HSE.
He says despite the progress being made, restrictions should not be lifted too early.
