The total jobless figure across the city and county has declined by 9.5 per cent in the last year.
There are now 9,645 people on the live register in the city and county, compared to 10,667 at the same time in 2019.
All areas experienced a fall in unemployment figures with the biggest drop in the city where 4,661 are now listed as jobless, compared to 5,155 this time last year.
In the county there are 1,117 people without a job in Ballinasloe compared to 1,192 at the end of January in 2019.
In Clifden, there are 684 listed as unemployed compared to 798 twelve months ago.
In Gort, the live register figure is 716, compared to 782 a year ago.
In Loughrea, just over 1,000 are unemployed, compared to 1,154 12 months ago.
Finally in Tuam, there are 1,1466 people on the live register, down from 1,586 at the end of January in 2019.
