Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway will next August host the world's largest Men's Shed gathering in NUIG as part of the Galway 2020 celebrations.
The event will see members from as far away as Canada, Australia and Kenya travelling to Galway for the function.
The Bailey Allen Hall in NUIG is expected to host up to 1000 men for the event.
Men's Shed is a community-based organisation which provides a friendly and safe environment where men can socialise and work on projects at their own pace.
The Irish Men's Shed Association was formed in 2011 and has spread to over 450 communities nationally.
